Over the more than 50 years since the birth of the modern edition of the Corsa all'Anello, many historical re-enactment groups have gradually been created, born within the Terzieri and then evolved into teams able to perform in other events outside Narni.
The GROUP SBANDIERATORI CITY OF NARNI, born in 1980, has brought its show in many Italian squares and around the world, opening important sporting events. It consists of flag wavers and musicians who accompany and emphasize the evolutions made with the flags, performed in groups, in pairs (such as skirmishes) or in acrobatic single exercises.
The HISTORICAL DANCE GROUPS present in each Terziere (Il Corteggio in Mezule, La Pazzia del ballo in Fraporta, Walpurgis in Santa Maria), using in-depth historical research and qualified artistic advice. They are characterized by fascinating musical choreography and accurate costumes and stage accessories.
The COMPAGNIA MILITES GATTAMELATA, entitled to the famous leader of Narni, is composed of archers, swordsmen and a large group of musicians. The first army consists of archers using bows, arrows and quivers of medieval style made by themselves.
The COMPAGNIA DELLA FIERA is a group of historical fencing that stages a real camp and, together with its musicians, shows in the square with sword duels, spears and other weapons and flag fighting.
The GROUPS OF MUSICI DELLA CORSA ALL'ANELLO, consisting mainly of drummers, have always been protagonists in accompanying any event within the historical re-enactment of Narni. Their instruments and costumes are recreated by consulting historical and iconographic sources and excluding materials of more contemporary use. It's relevant their ability to execute movements.
In addition to the other groups or even alone, the GROUPS OF ACTING, arose within the representations of the medieval days within the schedule of the Corsa all'Anello, are able to stage entertainment, jesters or theatrical performances more structured, which can well figure in other historical re-enactments or specific events in particular places such as castles, squares and courtyards of ancient buildings.
