PROJECT SUMMARY

The project intends to create a 4.0-type multimedia museum itinerary capable of narrating and retracing through a sensory experience of great emotional and didactic impact, attractive and engaging, the history and value of places, actions and people in which one recognizes a whole community. This is the development of an integrated system of technological, IT and multimedia infrastructures through which interconnected virtual and real environments are characterized in which majestic architectures with a high historical-artistic-cultural value merge with the dynamism of sounds, materials, colors and stories ancient and modern buildings of Narni and the Corsa all'Anello, winding through the various rooms on the first floor of the Palazzo dei Priori which becomes the central "plot" of a wider "story" involving further places, environments, and attractions (e.g. Rocca Albornoz, Auditorium San Domenico and Territory Museum of Palazzo Eroli). The primary objective is to enhance and promote the value and potential of environments and places through the development of highly innovative products and processes capable of increasing their attractiveness and improving their accessibility and usability, even during periods of closure. or restrictions on opening to the public due to force majeure (see pandemic). The project will involve the development, creation and promotion of IT infrastructures and digital tools as well as the creation of multimedia contents, creating a highly transferable, replicable and sustainable best practice in the medium-long term.


PROJECT OBJECTIVES

  1. Enhance the cultural attractions of the city of Narni with particular reference to the Palazzo dei Priori, headquarters of the Ass. Race to the Ring and the thematic museum of the same name, through the offer of innovative products and services for cultural and tourist use;
  2. Identify and define new strategic development guidelines for the proposing cultural enterprise (Dream Factory Design S.r.l.) in the field of new technologies applied to cultural heritage, encouraging entrepreneurial investments in the creation of new products, services and activities and in the improvement of existing structures and redevelopment of human capital with the aim of enhancing the cultural and tourist attractions of the City of Narni;
  3. Promote the processes of integration between companies also belonging to different chains of culture and creativity and between companies and the local community, both in the co-planning phase and in the collaboration and creation phase of the new product/service system, so as to strengthen not only the competitiveness of the operators involved, but also the local and territorial development processes.

EXPECTED RESULTS


At the end of the proposed interventions, a truly innovative Multimedia(a)eval Museum will be created in which the historical and cultural excellence of the area, the services and contents connected to them will be completely usable and accessible to the local population and to the numerous visitors and tourists through unique and suggestive experiences to be experienced both through the senses and in an interactive way. A museum of great historical and cultural significance, recognized and recognizable both nationally and internationally. A 360-degree experiential journey. Furthermore, thanks to the planned interventions, the creation of new services and the use of specific devices with an information function, the accessibility and usability of the Museum will be enhanced in the timetable and in the methods of access and use of the contents with particular attention to people with different types of motor, sensory and intellectual disabilities. Furthermore, there will be spaces and environments to be dedicated to permanent exhibitions, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, classrooms and laboratories. The innovative devices will make it possible to further enhance the usability of the Museum, to enhance the planned interventions themselves, expanding their impact exponentially, to disseminate and promote their value, history, memory, culture and contents through the network which characterize the Museum itself, increasing the tourist attraction of the itinerary, of the exhibitions and of the program of initiatives, including training and teaching, and at the same time facilitating the coordination and operation of the same. This integrates perfectly with the current procedures in progress for the assignment of the integrated tourist management of the attractions of the Municipality of Narni, adding an added value to the entire municipal tourist system. At the same time, the interventions aim to generate new investments also from private individuals and a new local economic induced, with a wide-ranging positive impact on local development and the creation of new jobs.


IMPACT AND SUSTAINABILITY

The project foresees a differentiated impact and repercussions in relation to the various reference targets:

1. young students, employed and unemployed, operators in the tourism services sectors:

  • greater levels of knowledge of the cultural, artistic and social heritage of the territory;
  • greater specific skills and abilities in the creative and digital sectors of the enhancement of cultural heritage and related services;
  • greater knowledge and ability to develop entrepreneurship connected to the creation and management of tourism service and innovative creative enterprises
  • greater awareness of employment opportunities and/or business development possibilities.
  • improve personal levels of soft skills useful for the development of creativity, aptitude for teamwork and problem solving.
  • greater ability to relate, participate and exchange experiences.

2. public and private institutions at local and regional level. Socio-cultural, youth and voluntary associations and organizations. School institutions in the area. Trade associations, and economic operators of tourist and cultural services:
  • improvement of the professional and relational performance of the operators of the partner subjects deriving from the experience of integrated project management,
  • greater awareness of public and private subjects regarding development opportunities and the benefits deriving from collaborations and partnerships in shared projects of cultural enhancement for economic purposes.
  • improvement of relational skills deriving from interinstitutional and multisectoral exchange and comparison events aimed at defining common strategies for local growth and development.
  • better performance in terms of income and employment in the sector of companies and businesses linked in particular to direct and indirect services in the tourism and culture sector.

3. Stakeholders, visitors and tourists, professionals, artists and the local community.
  • greater levels of knowledge and/or insights into the cultural, artistic and social heritage of the area.
  • greater interest in quality tourist itineraries in search of original and experiential itineraries.
  • positive perception of the stakeholders and of the entire community of the improvement of general tourism and socio-economic parameters.



DEGREE OF INNOVATIVENESS OF THE PROJECT:

The project offers different levels of innovation:

Network. Integration and interconnection of several territorial attractors protagonists of the planning of redevelopment and enhancement interventions of the cultural and environmental heritage of the Municipality of Narni in recent years, but also activation of a territorial system of synergies between local economic operators and managers of sites and activities (current and potential) in order to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed system and to amplify its impact in terms of cultural, tourist, socio-economic development.

Product. The intention is to create a new unique and original product with enormous potential as it can be transferred and reproduced on other regional and national attractions. The project is the result of a multi-functional system based on the interconnection of services, activities and products capable of creating a single, strong and modular service platform. This result is driven by a number of factors: interoperability, modularity, integration, and other ways of making useful connections between otherwise distinct offerings.

Experience as a way of using the offer of museum-cultural services: Thanks to the application of new information and communication technologies and the digitization of both the supply and use processes of museum-cultural services, experience becomes the way through which to take advantage of the proposed inter-functional mix and it is a type of experience with a high emotional impact and a high value of empathic involvement, in which the story, the story pervades the entire sensory sphere of the visitor in the context of continuous references between virtual and real.

Multi-functionality of the service. The proposed product is undoubtedly aimed at ensuring and promoting the utility, performance and perception of the value of the offer. In this process, the system becomes easy to try, use and appreciate, revealing features and functions that customers/visitors might miss and solving problems and critical issues in the use by the same customers/visitors

Multi-channel product. Surely the multi-channel that characterizes the proposed system allows you to get in touch with a wide range of customers and users, who will use and enjoy the products created within the investment proposal. Multi-channels (PWA, e-ticketing, multimedia contents) have the task of amplifying the impact in terms of strategic and operational-commercial marketing.
